Resumen
The Díaz Barraza Brothers were a duo of criollo composers who created his musical production between the 1950s and 1980s. Despite having a wide repertoire, his songs run the risk of being forgotten, since they are only preserved in memory. from his family and friends circles. Therefore, one of the objectives of this article is to recognize and disseminate the work of these composers. To achieve this, his songs were collected and interviews, transcriptions and musical analysis of three pieces were carried out. The results of the comparative analysis determined an evolution in his compositional style, and affirmed the historical importance of the composers' musical work for criolla music, especially for the district of Breña, a neighborhood where they grew up and lived most of their lives.
