Resumen
La información sobre los compositores peruanos de la segunda mitad del siglo xx en adelante es escasa. Este artículo busca llenar ese vacío abordando el estilo musical de Alejandro Núñez Allauca, compositor moqueguano que emigró definitivamente del Perú y vive en Europa desde hace 35 años. El análisis de su producción muestra solidez técnica, gran variedad de géneros, así como fuertes vinculaciones con el mundo andino y la religión católica. No es posible afirmar que Núñez Allauca sea un compositor neoindigenista, como a veces se le tilda, sino que es claramente un compositor posmoderno.
Knowledge about Peruvian composers from the second half of the 20th century is scarce. This text aims to fulfill this gap by providing an insight into Alejandro Núñez Allauca’s musical style. Núñez Allauca is a composer born in Moquegua that emigrated from Peru 35 years ago and lives permanently in Europe. The analysis of his production shows a solid technical management, a variety of musical genres and strong links to Andean world and Catholic religion. It is not possible to state that Núñez Allauca is a neoindigenist composer, as he is sometimes referred to, but rather a postmodern composer.
