Resumen
El cine, habiendo heredado de la ópera wagneriana su subrepticio deseo de convertirse en la obra de arte total, usa la música para transmitir todo lo que la imagen no puede por sí misma, pero cuando el cine se convierte en poesía entonces tenemos un tipo de interacción diferente. Este es el caso de la película Hombres de viento del director José Antonio Portugal en la cual se conjugan las imágenes, la narración y la música para sumergir al espectador en la historia de los trabajadores de las canteras de sillar.
Cinema, having inherited from Wagnerian opera its surreptitious desire to become the total work of art, uses music to convey everything that the image cannot by itself, but when cinema becomes poetry then we have a different kind of interaction. This is the case of the film Hombres de viento by director José Antonio Portugal, in which images, narration and music are combined to immerse the viewer in the story of the workers in the canteras de sillar.
