Resumen
This paper presents an analysis of intrinsic and extrinsic factors in learning and playing the violin. This research arises from experiences during the time of learning the violin, in which various injuries appeared caused by the practice of the instrument and also by other situations that generated a predisposition to these injuries. Sometimes the studies and suggestions given to violin students focus on habits strictly related to the instrument, forgetting that the violinist also acquires risky postures and movements in other activities of his daily life, risks that could influence musical performance at some point and even cause the musician to stop playing.
