Resumen
This article takes an iconographic and musical perspective to propose a multimodal analysis using record material of Andean music from the 1960s. The study is based on still images and recorded music, both embodied in the same musical object. Starting from a cover from 1961, the possibility of a connecting thread with the visual past that unfolds a discourse on the Andean is raised. In this way, the importance of graphic discourse and its relationship with musical discourses is contributed to the understanding of the phenomenon of sound recording and the possibility of building a comprehensive national musical history.
